Boudoir Photoshoot FAQS

Hopefully these FAQs will answer many of your questions about a boudoir photoshoot with me, but please do call me if you have more questions and I’ll be happy to help.

I'll let you in to a secret, that's what all the ladies I have photographed think! All of the images on the website and in my galleries are my gorgeous clients who have very kindly allowed me to share their images.  They are all ordinary women like you and me, they are no professional models on my website.

Age is just a number, don't let it ever stop you from trying new things and enjoying new experiences.

Many of my beautiful clients are in their 60's and beyond, they are living life to the full. Check out my Fabulous at 40 and beyond gallery and see how stunning older ladies really are.

Losing a few pounds won't affect how incredible you will look.  Trust me that with great posing and lighting I can take pounds off you.

You don't have to worry about posing, that's my superpower. None of the ladies you see in my galleries knew how to pose before they had their shoots.

During our pre-shoot chat I'll find out what you love about your body and what you're not so fond of (I bet you're thinking of your tummy now - nearly everyone mentions their tum!).

My superpowers are lighting and posing, I'll gently guide you throughout your whole shoot into flattering poses, I'll even demonstrate them for you (that saves me going to the gym!)

I would definitely recommend bringing your own lingerie and props.  Bring 3-6 outfits and do make sure that your lingerie fits you well, a badly fitting bra is not only bad for you, but it can ruin and image or an outfit.  Check out my blog post on what to wear for your boudoir shoot.

On booking I'll send you my Boudoir Guide which has lots of hints and tips in it, or do check out my blog which has lots of ideas in it.

Yes, hair and makeup is an important element of your shoot.  My hair and make up artists are experts at creating perfect looks to get you ready for the camera and who doesn't love a bit of pampering?

On the day please come with clean hair (washed the day before is perfect, it will hold your style much better) and no makeup on.

Please let me know of you have any allergies and if you prefer you can bring your own make-up.

I only have one lady in the studio per day. I want you to be completely relaxed and not to be worried about time, if we are having fun the shoot may last a little longer., but to give you an idea the experience lasts for about 3 hours.

Hair and makeup takes about an hour and the shoot about 2 hours.

Your boudoir experience costs £250 and includes hair and makeup, a fully guided shoot with me and a viewing session (usually a week after your shoot).

Artwork is purchased separately.  You can find out lots more information on my products page.

The session fee is due at the time of booking to secure your chosen date in my diary.  I do not take provisional bookings.

That totally depends on how many you fall in love with and your budget.

There is no minimum purchase, but most people spend between £700 and £3000.

I offer a range of display products from stunning wall art, bespoke albums and beautiful folio boxes.

See my pricing page for more information.

Absolutely think of airbrushing as the final polish to your images.

We'll have a chat about this so that I understand what you would like. I generally remove spots and bruises and I will always check if you would like scars removing or anything else changed.

After your shoot we will get a date in the diary for you to come back to the studio to see your fully edited images.

You'll get to see a video and then we'll go through your images one by one so that you can make your choices and I can help you choose the perfect display options for you (albums, folio boxes and wall art are amongst my most popular choices).

I recommend that you book your shoot at least 6-7 weeks before, so that I have plenty of time to prepare your artwork for your chosen date.

Your privacy is very important to me. I only ever share images of clients who have given me their written permission.

I archive the images you order for 6 months,  but non ordered images are deleted after 4 weeks.

I offer pre-payment plans to help you spread the cost of buying your artwork.  Decide on which collection best suits your needs and pay for it in instalments before your shoot and you'll get 10% off the price, plus you will unlock some great bonuses too.

I do offer payment plans through GoCardless at your viewing session,  check out PayPal interest free credit option.  The PayPal option will allow you to get your artwork faster, if your credit is agreed, you can pay me straight away so I can order your artwork and you'll get it within 2-4 weeks of placing your order.

I'm based in a lovely bijoux studio just outside of Romsey in Hampshire.  I'm in a converted stables unit that is very private and has lots of parking just outside of the studio.

My address is Lone Barn Studio 2, Stanbridge Lane, Romsey SO51 OHE.

My phone number is o1794516094

It will just be Julie (owner and your photographer) and Miriam (your hair and makeup artist), I only shoot one lady a day so you won't be bumping in to any other clients.
