Somewhere along the way, you got quieter.
Not because you wanted to.
Not because you had nothing to say.
But because life demanded things of you.
You learned to soften your edges.
To put other people first.
To be the reliable one. The sensible one. The strong one.
You tucked parts of yourself away because it felt safer that way.
The confidence you once had.
The version of you who laughed louder.
The woman who didn’t apologise for taking up space.
And one day, usually quietly, you realise… you miss her.
Reclaiming yourself isn’t about reinvention.
It’s not about fixing what’s “wrong” with you.
And it’s definitely not about becoming someone else.
It’s about coming back.
Back to the woman you were before expectations piled up.
Before you learned to shrink yourself to keep the peace.
Before you convinced yourself that wanting more was selfish.
She hasn’t gone anywhere.
She’s just been waiting for you to choose her again.
I hear this so often from women:
“I’ll do something for me when things calm down.”
“Next year will be better.”
“I just need to get through this season first.”
But here’s the truth most of us don’t like to admit.
There is always another season.
Another responsibility.
Another reason to wait.
And while you’re being sensible, practical and selfless… time passes.
Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
Just quietly.
This year feels different for a reason.
In March, I will be closing the doors to my studio and stepping into my own next chapter. After photographing and empowering women for over two decades, this chapter is coming to an end.
And with it comes a very real, very honest truth:
If a boudoir shoot has been something you’ve “always thought about”…
If you’ve followed along, watched other women do it, and quietly thought “one day”…
That one day now has an expiry date.
This isn’t meant to create pressure.
It’s an invitation.
Because so many of the women I’ve photographed over the years have said the same thing:
“I wish I hadn’t waited so long.”
Reclaiming yourself doesn’t have to be dramatic.
Sometimes it’s small:
And sometimes it’s brave.
Sometimes it’s choosing to be seen.
To step into a space where the inner critic doesn’t get the final say.
To do something purely for you.
That’s why so many women choose a boudoir shoot as their turning point.
Not because they suddenly feel confident.
But because they’re ready to stop waiting for confidence to arrive first.
Women arrive nervous. Doubting. Certain they’ll hate every photo.
And then something shifts.
Not because I change them.
But because they allow themselves to be held, guided and celebrated – without judgement.
They see their bodies differently.
They soften towards themselves.
They remember parts of themselves they thought were long gone.
And almost without fail, they say:
“I’m so glad I did this now.”
If you’re in a season of remembering who the hell you are…
If something inside you is nudging you not to put this off again…
If you know that another year of waiting will only lead to another year of regret…
Let this be the year you reclaim yourself.
Not later.
Not when you feel ready.
Not when life gets quieter.
Because this chapter – my final one behind the camera – is closing in March.
And once it’s gone, it’s gone.
You don’t need to become someone new.
You just need to come back to yourself.
And there has never been a more meaningful time to do it.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this might be it.
I have a very limited number of boudoir sessions remaining before I close the studio for good in March. Once those dates are gone, there will be no more added. Have a look at some of the beautiful images I have created for my clients. Many of them, like you, felt unsure at first: could they look as good, would it work for them? And guess what - they went for it and found out.
If reclaiming yourself has been quietly sitting on your heart for a while, I’d love to chat and see if one of my final sessions is right for you.
